Amphitrio is an award-winning contemporary jazz trio from Bucharest, Romania, known for a distinctive sound that blends modern jazz with Nordic lyricism, Balkan rhythms, and influences from heavy metal and electronic music. Built around original compositions by pianist Andrei Petrache, the group creates cinematic atmospheric soundscapes. Since their formation in 2023, they have performed across Europe and the United States at prestigious jazz festivals. Their latest album, Timelines, was recognised as Album of the Year by Romanian Cultural Radio. This performance is part of the Thursday Late Late Show series, which features music influenced by jazz-funk, soul, R&B, and hip hop, accompanied by DJ sets before and after the live music.
